Typical November nights in a college students residence include cramming obligated to catch for papers due in December, and exams that lurk around the corner on a topic you felt up on sleep for. Deadlines and due dates are non-existent for students until the night before since the preoccupations; partying and overall good times which lack libraries and study sessions, expel more excitement than the adrenaline rush of a chemistry chronicle or a pre-cal problem. At most schools, the days of dorm rules, dress codes, and even mandatory class attendance is long gone. But while freedom can be exciting and fun, it can also be stressful because no one is telling you what to do. You have to make a lot of decisions on your own and readjust your own†¦show more content†¦This added pressure does nothing for students but makes them think that if they don’t get wonderful marks in school that they wont be accepted at home anymore. When in reality all the parents want is their kid to get a great job, and have a future. Another major factor in adding to the stress level in during college life would have to be the almighty job. Most students that go to a community college have a full time job they attend to after their full schedule of classes. Most jobs expect that you have no other outside life other then thinking about what you are going to do next time you come into work. Supervisors can’t empathize with you because they themselves have been working the same job for the past ten years, and have never even entered a college classroom. They demand that you always be able to work no matter what school work is due the next week. It becomes really hard for a full time student to hold a full time job and get by without stressing out every night. This stress is not something that stays at the job, it follows through to the classroom. The most important of these causes of stress would have to be the approval from others, and the pressure applied by peers. Especially in a new environment, most people eagerly seek acceptance. That may mean conforming, whether it’s to friends’ attitudes toward alcohol, drugs, partying, studying, or sex. Choices Nutrition Logo Essay - 1221 Words

In the January issue of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, an article was published regarding the impact of nutritional labels on food choices at different Dutch work cafeterias. The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences made to food choices, and if it stimulated consumers to make healthier choices or if customers actually pay attention to the nutritional information in the product. The Choices nutrition logo is found around European countries in supermarket chains and different locations. This logo is similar to the Smart Choices program, which appears on the front of the pack of certain food items, such as cereal boxes, breads, yogurts, etc. along the United States. Both these logos inform the†¦show more content†¦The menus consisted of one freshly prepared Choices sandwich, one regular sandwich, one Choices soup and a regular soup, aside from the regular products they offered, such as dairy products, beverages and other hot meals. The employees from the cafeterias kitchens were trained to make sure all the items in the selected menus were prepared the exact same way. The prices of these products were the exact same. Other items in the cafeterias offered, such as snacks, fruits, salad bar, etc, were not included in the study since said products did not comply with the Choices criteria. A three-week menu cycle was created and rotated three times to fu lfill the nine-week period. Also, menus explaining the meaning of the Choices logo were available to focus the employee’s attention to the products offered, intended to make the employees to make healthier choices. The control cafeterias did not use any logo or provide any other type of information on the products from the study menu. Aside from the collection of the data regarding the sales on Choices products and other non-Choices products offered in the menu, information was also collected from other foods offered in the cafeterias, such as the sales on fried foods, fresh fruit (included as Choices menu item) and salads to see if the intervention of the Choices labeling had any effect on the sales of these other products. He encourages his fellow colleagues to complete a task and then move on to another and hence, this can be considered as the reason for the world wide achievement of Facebook. He often considers the feedbacks that he has received from the different colleagues and has made a clear layout of it along with the different features in order to make the people feel connected (Renko et al. 2015). He often let his colleagues make the different changes in Facebook layout and he never makes an effort to disturb them. He never treated his co workers as his sub ordinates but as his friends. Zuckerberg is considered very innovative and independent in his styles of leadership. The key belief is to make an observing and an accepting way towards the social norms. There is a need for the leaders to feel relevant and sync with the different perceptions of the world and also to make a clear understanding of it. He also has the ability to explain the different leading activities of facebook and the reasons for its drawbacks from a vision point of view that will help from iterating and refining from the status quo (Herrmann and Felfe 2014). The hope for the modern and the relevant visions for the different modern and improving increments will be missed because of the iterations that are not enough radical in order to capture the social norms of the current stage. He always uses his leadership style when making a decision. He is so down to earth that he does not place himself above his employees. These can be considered as the few traits that should be visible in any leader in the social context. His leadership style that is unique and a mixture of all the autocratic, democratic and laisses and faisses and this style has made him very famous and very humble.
